Edinburgh business professionals learned some advanced LinkedIn skills at a special masterclass given by LinkedIn Success Blueprint on Wednesday 18th May.

The invitation only LinkedIn training event for SMEs and Charities, held at the Dome on George Street, enabled Miles Duncan to show the delegates how they could use some of the tools of the platform to build a ‘value and trust’ economy.

Miles told them the importance of the concept that “your network is your net worth” and he gave several examples of how business professionals are using LinkedIn to build and leverage valuable networks of connections.

One of the delegates said: “It was a fantastic masterclass and Miles showed how I should be using LinkedIn to keep close to my current customer base and demonstrated a couple of ways that I could energise my connections to get them to help me expand my business.”

Another added: “I learned the importance of having a great profile and that I needed to urgently change my headline, summary and experience to make my profile more attractive an to communicate my value.”

Miles explained: “The key to gaining success on LinkedIn is to build trust and credibility. If you learn how to make and nurture connections in the right way, you will be well on your way to building a value and trust economy for yourself.  In this way you can use LinkedIn to provide a better future for your self and your business.”

Miles added: “I extend my thanks to the delegates for contributing to the success of this masterclass and for giving me the opportunity to share some insights from the LinkedIn Success Blueprint.”
